What is IGF-1 LR3?

IGF-1 LR3 is a modified version of Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 with a 13-amino acid extension at the N-terminus and an arginine substitution at position 3. These modifications give it a significantly longer half-life (20-30 hours vs 12-15 minutes for native IGF-1) and reduced binding to IGF binding proteins, resulting in much greater bioactivity. It is one of the most potent growth factors available for muscle hypertrophy and recovery.

How It's Made

Produced via recombinant DNA technology in E. coli expression systems. The LR3 modification involves adding a 13-amino acid extension peptide and substituting glutamic acid with arginine at position 3 of the mature IGF-1 sequence.
